S60 Emergency Call System Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Volvo S60 hybrid is experiencing a malfunction in its emergency call system, resulting in error messages and a persistent warning light. The issue is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Diagnostics indicated a problem with the telematics control module. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a professional workshop, which successfully resolved a similar issue for another owner.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, the diagnostics pointed towards the telematics control module. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you end up taking it to a workshop?

I tried looking at the connections myself, but honestly, automotive electronics aren't my forte. Ended up taking it to a shop; best decision. They sorted it quickly.

Alright, sounds like the workshop is the way to go. Thanks for sharing your experience; it's really helpful! Just got mine fixed. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection, and the repair cost me 95€.

Ugh, sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my S60. Was it showing any diagnostic codes related to the telematics control module?
