S60 Hybrid Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Volvo S60 hybrid is experiencing engine stalling and a persistent check engine light, with error codes stored in the system. The problem may be related to the idle air control (IAC) valve, especially given the rough idle before stalling. Cleaning the throttle body and checking for intake contamination are suggested solutions, with a recommendation to consult a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, the idle is definitely rough before it stalls. It kind of sputters a bit. I haven't cleaned the throttle body yet, but I'll add that to my list. Is it difficult to access the idle air control valve or the throttle body on our cars?

Based on the symptoms, it does sound like a possible IAC valve issue, especially with the rough idle and stalling. The intake might be heavily contaminated. I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop. They can diagnose it properly. I spent around 425€ for the repair, but it was worth it to get it sorted.

Okay, thanks so much for confirming that it might be the IAC valve and pointing me in the direction of the intake issue. I'll take your advice and bring it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my S60. Does the engine idle rough before it stalls, or does it just cut out? Have you tried cleaning the throttle body? That sometimes helps with idle issues.
