S60 Hybrid rough engine and misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Volvo S60 hybrid is experiencing rough engine performance, a check engine light, and reduced power, possibly due to a cylinder misfire. The issues could stem from a faulty ignition coil or fuel injector. It is suggested to have error codes read to diagnose the problem accurately, as similar cases have pointed to defective fuel injectors. Ultimately, the issue was confirmed to be a defective fuel injector, which was repaired.

Thanks! I haven't had the error codes read yet. I was hoping to get some insights before taking it in. When you experienced this, did the error codes specifically point to the fuel injector, or was it a process of elimination?

In my case, the error codes were pretty clear about a misfire on one of the cylinders, but the mechanic suspected a defective injection valve. Given your symptoms and the hybrid engine, it's best to have it professionally diagnosed. It could save you time and money.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll get it to a workshop as soon as possible. It turned out to be a defective fuel injector, and the repair cost me 515€. Thanks again!

I had a similar experience with my S60, although it's not a hybrid. Rough idle and loss of power sound familiar. Have you had any specific error codes read? It might help narrow down whether it's truly the fuel injector or something else entirely.
