S60 Low Tire Pressure and ABS Light

Hey, I've got a 2022 Volvo S60 with a gasoline engine that's throwing me for a loop. I'm getting a low tire pressure warning, plus the ABS light is on. The steering wheel's vibrating like crazy, and it feels harder to steer. I've checked the tire pressure with my gauge, inflated tires but the warning reappears after a while. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Volvo S60 is experiencing a low tire pressure warning, an ABS light, and steering issues, including vibration and difficulty steering. Despite inflating the tires, the warning persists, indicating a rapid pressure loss. The problem is likely due to a defective valve rather than a faulty sensor, as confirmed by a workshop diagnosis. The issue was resolved by replacing the valve.

Interesting problem. I own an S60 as well, though I am not sure about the build year. I had similar symptoms a while ago - low tire pressure warning, ABS light, and steering issues. Have you checked the tire sensors themselves? It might be a faulty sensor sending incorrect data. Is the pressure loss significant, or just a slow leak?

Good point about the sensors. How would I go about checking those? And to answer your question, the pressure loss seems fairly rapid. I'd say it goes down a noticeable amount within a day or two after inflating. Any more info on how to check the sensors?

Given the rapid pressure loss, and that you have inflated tires, the sensor itself might not be the primary culprit, though it's still a possibility. It sounds more like a valve issue in your tire or perhaps a small puncture you have missed. While you could attempt to diagnose the sensor with specialized tools, I would strongly recommend taking it to a qualified workshop. It really does sound as if you may have a valve issue.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a defective valve. Cost me 280€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
