S60 Oil Temperature Warning

Good shout on the connections! I'll double-check 'em. The oil pressure light's more of a flicker than a rave, thankfully. As for the error code, it's pointing directly to the engine oil temperature sensor – inconsistent readings, apparently. Did yours throw the same code, and where IS that darn sensor located?

Yep, same exact error. Drove me nuts for a week! Honestly, I poked around for a bit, but in the end, I took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. Saved me a ton of stress, and I didn't risk messing anything else up. Might be worth considering?

Cheers for the advice! I was hoping to dodge the workshop, but you're right, sometimes it's best to leave it to the pros. Turns out it WAS just a faulty connection, like we suspected. New plug and a bit of cable fixing set me back 95€, but at least the disco's over! Thanks again!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar freak-out with my S60. Was the oil pressure light just flickering, or was it a full-on rave? Check the sensor connections first, like you said. Where exactly did you see the error in the memory? This might help narrow things down.
