S60 Overheating Air Flap Fault

My 2002 Volvo S60 with a gasoline engine is having issues at 232230 km. The check engine light is on, and the engine is overheating. A diagnostic scan shows an active air flap fault, and the electromechanism seems defective. Has anyone else run into this?
