Thanks for the response. I did check the wiring and connector, all seems fine. Fuel filter is a good point, but wouldn't a clogged filter cause issues at higher RPMs too? My problem is mostly at idle. Is that what you experienced?

You're right, a clogged filter usually affects higher RPMs more. In my case, the stalling was more random, but the reduced power was consistent across the rev range. Given your symptoms are primarily at idle, and you've checked the wiring, a faulty sensor is looking more probable. Taking it to a qualified workshop for diagnosis might be the best course of action.

Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it. I ended up replacing the rail pressure sensor. Seems to have fixed it; cost was 240€. The car runs as new now!

I had a similar issue with my Volvo S60. Same symptoms: check engine light, stalling, and reduced power. It could be a faulty sensor, yes. Have you checked the wiring to the sensor for any damage or corrosion? Before replacing the sensor, I would suggest that you also check for any fuel filter restrictions. This can sometimes cause the pressure to drop and trigger the sensor error; just a thought.
