S660 Transmission Control Unit Failure

My 2016 Honda S660 (gasoline engine) is giving me fits. At 181965 km, the paddle shifters are unresponsive, and the gearbox is slipping. I'm getting grinding noises and slow response. It's stuck in emergency mode, and the error memory is full of codes. Could it be the transmission control unit? Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Honda S660 is experiencing issues with unresponsive paddle shifters, gearbox slipping, grinding noises, and being stuck in emergency mode, with a full error memory. These symptoms suggest a potential failure of the transmission control unit (TCU). The recommended solution is to have the TCU checked and possibly replaced by a workshop, which resolved the issue in a similar case.

Sounds familiar. I've got an S660 too, and those symptoms scream TCU issues. Is it throwing any specific error codes?

I haven't written them down, but it had something to do with the gear selector. You really think it is the TCU? What did you do about it?

Yep, pretty sure it's the TCU. Mine was doing the exact same thing. I'd say just take it to a workshop. They'll confirm and replace the control unit.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on – the transmission control unit was the culprit. They replaced it, and it cost me about 1000€, but now it's shifting perfectly again!
