Thanks for sharing your experience with the S6 repair. Sounds like a very similar issue to what I had with my S7. The air suspension system is definitely a weak point on these cars when they get higher mileage. Just wondering, what did the total repair cost you? And have you had any other air spring or shock absorber issues since getting it fixed? My repair cost estimate seems quite high so trying to get a feel for what others paid. The specialist I found says the bellows valve will need replacing along with a full pneumatic suspension overhaul on the affected side. Would be great to know if this matches what you were quoted.

Thanks for asking about the repair costs. After seeing a suspension specialist who properly diagnosed the pneumatic suspension issue, the faulty air suspension bellows valve was successfully fixed. The total came to 590 Euro for parts and labor, which included replacing the defective valve and recalibrating the entire suspension system. Since the repair 8 months ago, the suspension has been working perfectly with no further issues. The car maintains proper ride height and the ride quality is back to normal. This repair cost was actually reasonable compared to what some dealers charge for similar suspension failure repairs. The specialist recommendation you received about replacing the bellows valve matches my experience. A full overhaul of the affected side might seem extensive, but its often necessary to prevent recurring suspension issues. These pneumatic suspension systems really need comprehensive repairs when components start failing to ensure long-term reliability. Looking back, spending the money on a proper fix by a suspension expert was definitely worth it rather than risking further damage to other components.

I finally got my S7 fixed and wanted to share an update. After finding a proper suspension specialist, they confirmed what others here suggested about the air leak and failing bellows valve. The total repair came to 2100 Euro which included: New air spring assembly, Replacement bellows valve, Fresh shock absorber, Complete system pressure test, Recalibration of the pneumatic suspension The suspension specialist showed me the worn components and explained how debris had damaged the original bellows valve, leading to the air leak and eventual suspension failure. The repair took 2 days but the results were worth it. Been driving for 2 weeks now and the car feels completely transformed. Proper ride height is restored, no more leaning, and the suspension works perfectly again. Really glad I went with a specialist shop that knew how to handle these complex pneumatic suspension systems. For anyone else facing similar issues, definitely worth paying more for someone who specifically works on air suspensions rather than a general shop. The expertise made all the difference in getting it fixed right the first time.

Had the exact same suspension issue with my 2017 Audi S6 last year. The symptoms match perfectly, air spring failure causing the car to sit low and lean, along with harsh ride quality. The suspension system diagnostic revealed a faulty bellows valve and worn shock absorber on the rear passenger side. The root cause was debris contamination in the air spring assembly, which damaged the bellows valve and prevented proper pressure regulation. This is actually a known weak point in these pneumatic suspension systems. The repair required: Complete air spring replacement on affected side, New bellows valve assembly, Shock absorber replacement, Full suspension system recalibration This was definitely a serious repair that needed immediate attention. Continuing to drive with failed air springs risks damage to other suspension components and compromises vehicle stability. Finding a shop specializing in air suspension repairs is crucial, general mechanics often lack the expertise for these systems. The car has been performing flawlessly since the repair with proper ride height and comfort restored. Regular suspension system maintenance helps prevent similar failures.
