S80 Coolant Loss

I'm seeking assistance regarding my 2014 Volvo S80 with a gasoline engine. Coolant levels consistently drop below the minimum. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, and diagnostic scans show error codes for low coolant. I'm thinking water pump, head gasket, or radiator. Mileage is at 129076 km. Any ideas?

Hey, I drive an S80 too, and this sounds familiar. Was the engine overheating, and were you losing a ton of coolant, or just a bit here and there?

Thank you. No overheating, but the coolant depletion occurs gradually, requiring periodic top-ups. How long did it take you to get a diagnosis?

Okay, mine wasn't overheating either, just a slow leak. I kept topping it off for a while, but it got worse. Finally took it to a shop. They found the problem pretty quick. Save yourself the headache and get it checked out by a professional!

I appreciate the advice; it confirms what I was thinking. I'll schedule an appointment. It was a cracked coolant reservoir. New one cost 52€, all fixed!
