Good question. I did check the mount, and honestly, it didn't look too bad visually. No obvious cracks or tears. That's why I was thinking it might be electrical. When you had this issue, was the rubber mount visibly damaged, or was it something else?

Mine looked okay too, no obvious damage. I messed around with it for a bit, but eventually I took it to a workshop. They found it was the engine mount and replaced it. It fixed the idling issue completely.

Okay, that's helpful. Sounds like even without visible damage, the mount can still be the culprit. I'll get it checked out professionally. Thanks for the insight! Turns out you were right, it was the engine mount. Cost me 95€ to get sorted.

Rough idling and an engine mount error sound familiar. I've got an S80 too, though not the same year. I had similar symptoms a while back. Did you check for any visible wear or damage on the rubber mount itself?
