The key fob seems okay, and the engine starts without issue. It's just this persistent 'Transport mode active' message and the electrical gremlins that came with it. Is there a way to deactivate the transport mode?

The 'Transport mode' is intended to preserve battery life during shipping and pre-delivery storage. If it's active in your car, it indicates the dealer failed to complete the pre-delivery service. Unfortunately, deactivation typically requires specialized Volvo diagnostic software. I recommend contacting the dealership and requesting they perform the deactivation and address any related software glitches. There should be no costs involved.

Thanks for the info! I contacted the dealer and they confirmed it was a pre-delivery issue. They sorted it out with a software fix. All systems nominal now!

I also own an S80, and a similar issue arose shortly after I purchased it. Does your key fob seem to be working intermittently, or are you experiencing any difficulties starting the engine? This might indicate a deeper problem with the car's electronics.
