S90 Automatic Temperature Control Issue

My 2022 Volvo S90 diesel has a weird issue. The automatic temperature control is shot; the AC doesn't seem to exist. The display looks normal, but no cold air comes out. I scanned it and got an error about the interior temperature sensor. Could it be something else? The climate control is totally unresponsive. Maybe a dodgy cable or plug? Has anyone run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Volvo S90 diesel experienced an issue with the automatic temperature control, where the air conditioning was unresponsive, and the display showed incorrect temperature readings. The problem was traced to an error related to the interior temperature sensor. The solution involved checking and re-seating a loose connection to the sensor, which resolved the issue after clearing the error code.

I had a similar problem with my S90. Is the temperature reading on the display way off, too? Mine was stuck on max heat, even when set to low. Check the sensor itself, but it could also be a wiring issue. Start with the simple stuff before tearing everything apart.

Yeah, the temperature reading seems off, like it's permanently stuck on some crazy high number. Where exactly is the sensor located? I'm wondering if I can check the connection myself before taking it to a mechanic. Any tips on how to access it?

Mine was doing the exact same thing. It's probably the sensor or the wiring to it. Unless you're super comfortable with car electrics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be a pain to get to, and you don't want to mess anything else up. They should be able to diagnose it quickly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed the temperature sensor, or rather, a loose connection to it. They re-seated the plug, cleared the error code, and now it's working perfectly again. Cost me 95€, which I think is fair. Appreciate the help!
