S90 Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Volvo S90 hybrid experienced a cruise control failure, displaying a 'cruise control not available' message and an error light on the dashboard. The issue might be due to a blown fuse or a faulty steering wheel connection. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a defective cable or plug connection related to the clock spring in the steering column. It is recommended to have a qualified mechanic inspect and repair the issue.

Yeah, every single time I try to activate the cruise control! What was the fix? Please tell me it wasn't some crazy expensive sensor!

Sounds like we had the same issue. In my case, it was a defective cable or plug connection. Honestly, I just took it to the workshop -- didn't want to mess with the steering wheel myself. They said it was related to the clock spring in the steering column. Best to just let someone qualified handle it, my dude.

Ah, that's a bummer, but good to know! I'll book it in with a local mechanic then. Thanks for the heads up, I was dreading some crazy electrical problem, but at least I know how much is going to cost (ended up costing 95€)! Cheers!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had the same problem with my S90. Does the dashboard light come on every time you try to use the cruise control?
