Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't tried forcing a regeneration yet, but I will give it a go. I have been paying attention to the fuel efficiency and noticed a drop recently. Where is the sensor you are referring to?

Okay, if the fuel efficiency has dropped, that definitely points to the DPF being overworked. I am referring to the backpressure sensor, it measures the pressure in the DPF. In my case, the regeneration didn't solve the issue, and I ended up having to get the DPF replaced at a workshop. I'd recommend getting a vehicle inspection to confirm before spending any money.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I will take it to the workshop for inspection. I drove there, and they confirmed the DPF is defective. The repair will cost 1550€. Thanks again for your help!

I have a Volvo S90 too, although it's an older model. Those symptoms do sound like a DPF issue. Have you tried forcing a regeneration? Sometimes a long drive at a consistent speed can clear it out. Otherwise, it could be a sensor fault causing it to clog up prematurely. What's your usual fuel efficiency like?
