S90 High Pressure Fuel Pump Failure

Anyone else seen this? My 2017 Volvo S90 with a gasoline engine is acting up. Check engine light, stalls at idle, and power is way down. Suspect the fuel volume regulator, maybe the high-pressure pump itself. Anyone had similar?

Sounds familiar. Has the car been throwing any specific codes? What kind of mileage are we talking?

52787 km on the clock. Not sure about the exact codes right now, but is it possible the high pressure pump is the culprit?

Yeah, high-pressure fuel pump failure is pretty common. Seeing those symptoms, I'd bet on it. But you'll need to get it properly diagnosed. Workshop time, I reckon.

Cheers. High pressure pump was indeed defective. Cost me 1510€ to get it sorted.
