S90 Jerking Acceleration

My 2020 Volvo S90 gasoline has uneven engine running at 127307 km. The check engine light is on and off, and diagnostic scans show an error. It also jerks when accelerating. I changed the air filter, but it still happens. Could it be the fuel pump or clogged fuel injectors?

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra diesel: check engine light, rough idle. It was an oxygen sensor on its way out. Have you checked that?

Thanks, I hadn't thought about the oxygen sensor. Can a bad oxygen sensor cause jerking during acceleration? I thought it was more about idle and fuel economy.

Yes, the jerking was there, especially when the engine was cold. I'm no mechanic, but that's what it felt like. I am pretty sure it is not the fuel injectors though. It was easier to visit a workshop in my case.

Thanks for confirming the acceleration issue and the fuel injectors info. Following your advice, I visited a workshop, and it was a leak in the exhaust system causing the oxygen sensor to read wrong. The repair was 265€! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
