S90 keyless access issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Volvo S90 owner experienced issues with keyless access and received a 'key battery low' warning. The problem was identified as a dead key fob battery, which affected the range and functionality of the keyless system. The suggested solution was to replace the key fob battery, which resolved the issue after being addressed at a workshop.

Yeah, that sounds pretty familiar! The range went down first. I thought I was imagining it, but now you mention it... How did you fix it? Is it something I can do myself, or should I just book it in somewhere?

Okay, sounds like the same thing. For me, it totally went dead in the end. Honestly, just get the battery replaced. It's probably just a dead key fob battery. You could probably do it yourself if you're handy, but I just took it to the workshop to get it sorted out. Better safe than sorry when it comes to car electrics, especially with these modern Volvos!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was just the key fob battery. Cost me 37€ to get it replaced. All sorted now!

Hey! I had something similar with my S90. When you say 'playing up,' what exactly do you mean? Mine started with the range getting really bad, like I had to be right next to the door handle for it to work. Then it got super intermittent, working one day and not the next. Did you also experience that?
