S90 Oil Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Volvo S90 hybrid is experiencing an engine oil temperature sensor error, accompanied by an intermittent oil pressure warning light. These issues could be related, potentially due to a faulty connection at the sensor. A suggested solution is to inspect the sensor's cable or plug connection, with professional diagnosis recommended if the owner is not comfortable checking it themselves.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say check the cable or plug, are you talking about the sensor itself? Or is there a specific area I should be looking at?

Yeah, the sensor itself. If you're not comfortable poking around, get it checked by a workshop. In my case, it was a defective connection. Repair should be around 95€.

Appreciate the advice. Sounds like getting it checked professionally is the way to go. I'll book an appointment to diagnose the connections. Thanks for sharing your experience; it's been really helpful.

Sounds familiar. I have an S90, not sure if it's the same year, but I had similar symptoms once. Could be a faulty connection. I'd check the cable or plug connection to the sensor. Easy enough to check yourself. Let me know if that helps.
