S90 Siren Communication Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Volvo S90 hybrid owner reported a siren communication fault, leading to a non-functional alarm system. Diagnostics suggested a defective cable or plug as the cause. Another individual with a similar issue advised checking the alarm controller, but the problem was ultimately resolved by repairing a faulty connector, restoring the alarm system's functionality.

Central locking is functioning normally. What was the outcome in your case?

Ah, that's different then. In my case, the central locking went haywire at the same time. If it is just the alarm, it may well be the siren unit itself. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to check the alarm controller.

Thanks. As suspected, it was a faulty connector. Repair cost 95€. Alarm system is up and running again.

I had something similar with my S90. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the cable just yet. Does the central locking still work?
