Hi, thanks for the quick reply! Do you have any idea what you had to pay for the repair back then? Has anything similar happened since then, or has the problem been solved for good? I would be very interested to know. Thank you in advance!

Hello, you're welcome! So to your question: I had to pay a total of €455 at the time because the seatbelt retractor itself was defective. Since the repair, I have at least not had any more problems with the belt retractor. In other words, that was it! The problem with the belt ring was solved in next to no time and I've had peace of mind ever since. So everything has been fixed perfectly and reliably, at least for me. So don't worry, the car still runs like a charm! Hope that helps you.

Thank you very much, that really helps me a lot! That really reassures me. I think I'll have it checked at the garage too. Your experience sounds very positive, which gives me hope! I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes for me. Thanks again for the information! I'll get back to you as soon as I have any news. See you then and drive safely!

Hello, I once had a similar problem with my 2017 Mercedes C Class. My seatbelt retractor was also on strike and the airbag warning came on, just like yours. When the fault memory was read out, it turned out that the seatbelt retractor was actually faulty. It's really important that you have this checked because it's a serious safety issue and shouldn't be ignored. Went to the garage at the time and the repair went smoothly. They replaced the seatbelt retractor and the seatbelt ring and the problem was solved. Don't worry, if it's the belt ring, it can be fixed without any problems. Good luck with it!
