Safrane Bluetooth Connection Issue

I'm having trouble with the electronic systems in my 1999 Renault Safrane diesel. It has 196384 kilometers on it. My smartphone won't connect to the car's interface, and diagnostic tools show an error in the memory. Could this be related to the fuel system or drivetrain? I suspect an incorrect pairing, but I don’t know how to fix it. Has anyone seen this before? The steering and brakes seem fine.

Sounds like a comms issue. Is it only the phone that won't connect? Have you tried other devices? Is Bluetooth enabled?

I tried another smartphone, same problem. Since there's an error stored, could it be a deeper issue in the transmission or a module failure affecting the communication bus? The symptoms are specific, but the cause is elusive. I'm starting to think it's software, not hardware.

Software glitches happen, but multiple devices failing suggests the car's Bluetooth module is the problem. Try a hard reset, but for a '99 Safrane, a workshop is better. They can diagnose it properly. I'd bet on a faulty Bluetooth module or wiring.
