Thanks! Yes, the check engine light is on. I don't have a diagnostic tool myself. Was your issue related to the ECU or something else entirely? Did you also have bad battery connections?

In my case, the bad battery connection was indeed the culprit! I cleaned them up, but the engine still stalled. I had to get it towed to a workshop. They ran proper diagnostics and said something was wrong with the cable connections. I recommend you do the same.

You were right! Took it to the shop, and they found a bad battery connection. Cleaned and secured everything, and it fired right up. Cost me 155€ all in. Thanks!

I had a similar issue with my Safrane. The engine just wouldn't fire up. The check engine light was on, and the diagnostics pointed to some kind of ECU hiccup. Did you check the engine light or try any diagnostics?
