Safrane Start Stop Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Renault Safrane with a gasoline engine is experiencing a start-stop issue, where the engine shuts off at lights and sometimes fails to restart, accompanied by a warning light. The problem is suspected to be related to the battery, as it feels like it's struggling and the error memory is full. Replacing the heavily discharged battery resolved the issue, and the car is now running smoothly again.

It's probably been in there for like, four years maybe? Was your Opel doing the same thing, like stalling and throwing up warning lights?

Yep, exactly the same symptoms. Start-stop failed, engine stalling occasionally, warning lights. Get the battery checked out; probably needs replacing. Otherwise, take it to a workshop. They will tell you the same.

I'll get the battery checked ASAP. I went to the local shop. Turns out the battery was heavily discharged. A new battery cost me 290€ but at least the Safrane is running smoothly again!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Insignia. The start-stop kept acting up, and it turned out to be a battery problem.
