Sail Climate Control Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Chevrolet Sail diesel with 116,536 km has a climate control fault, resulting in insufficient heating and a non-engaging AC. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection as the cause. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connector to the climate control module, and professional assistance is recommended for such repairs. The problem was confirmed by a technician, and the repair cost was 95€.

The blower motor is inactive, and there aren't any strange noises. Can you tell me where that corroded connector is located? Is it easy to replace, or is it a job for a professional?

The corroded connector... was it easily accessible? Let's just say I spent an afternoon wrestling with trim panels. I'd recommend a qualified workshop. It sounds like the same issue I had, and it's better to have a professional look than make things worse.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a technician, and the diagnosis matched the suspected fault – a defective cable connection. Total cost was 95€.

A Chevrolet Sail? I've got one too. Does the blower motor try to spin? Any weird noises when you adjust the temperature? I had a similar issue; it was a corroded connector to the climate control module. Could the temperature sensor be bad?
