Sail Engine Running Lean

Interesting problem. I own a Sail as well, though I can't say I know a great deal about mechanics. I had similar symptoms a while back, and the car was almost undriveable. Was your problem only when the engine was hot, or when it was cold, too?

It might be slightly worse when it's cold, but it's definitely noticeable even after the engine has warmed up. Did you manage to find out what the problem was in your case? Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, yes! If the problem is present regardless of temperature, it seems like our problem was similar after all. In my case, it ended up being a faulty fuel injector. I tried cleaning the throttle body and checking the oxygen sensor, but nothing seemed to work. After bringing it to a local workshop, they identified the faulty injector and replaced it. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to get a proper diagnosis.
