Sail fog sensor issues

I'm having a weird issue with my 2018 Chevrolet Sail diesel. It's got about 111,509 km on the clock. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory related to the fog sensor, and it seems to be messing with other stuff. The AC won't switch on, the spray nozzles are frozen even when it's not that cold, and the mirror heating isn't working. I read online that it's probably a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else had anything similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Chevrolet Sail diesel with 111,509 km is experiencing issues related to a fog sensor error, affecting the AC, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The problem is suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection, specifically a corroded connector on the sensor harness. The solution involved visiting a workshop where the corroded connector was repaired, resolving the issues for a cost of 95€.

Whoa, that's a bunch of stuff going wrong at once! A/C, spray nozzles, and mirror heating all tied to the fog sensor? Seriously? I've never heard of anything like that on a Sail. Are you sure it's definitely the fog sensor? Where did you read about the cable connection thing? Maybe try wiggling the connector to the sensor and see if anything changes?

Yeah, it's bizarre, right? The error code definitely points to the fog sensor. I found someone on another forum who had similar symptoms and said it was a corroded connector on the sensor harness. I tried wiggling it like you suggested, but no luck. Any idea where the fog sensor is actually located in the car? I haven't been able to spot it yet!

Okay, corroded connector makes sense, especially if it's all happening at once. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly where it lives on the Sail. But maybe with that error code, it's time to visit a workshop. Sounds like something only they can solve.

Yeah, you're probably right. Gave up and took it to the workshop. Turns out it was exactly what we suspected – a corroded connector on the fog sensor. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted, but at least everything's working again. Appreciate the help!
