Santro Oil Light Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Santro owner is experiencing intermittent activation of the engine oil temperature and oil pressure lights. The issue might be related to a faulty engine oil temperature sensor or a bad cable. Another Santro owner with a similar problem suggests that it could be a sensor issue, leading to the decision to seek professional diagnostics and potentially replace the sensor.

Thanks! Yeah, I checked the oil right away, and it was fine, right in the middle. No leaks or weird engine noises either. It's just so random. What exactly happened with yours? What made the oil light come on?

Well, since your oil is good, it sounds like what I had. I didn't mess with it too much. The light kept flickering, so I took it to a shop to be safe. They said it was a sensor.

Thanks, I think a shop is the way to go. I've booked an appointment for diagnostics. They're quoting about 95€ for a new one. You helped me decide not to try fixing it myself! I'll post what happens in case it helps other Santro owners.

Hey, I have a Santro too, and I remember something similar happening. My oil light would pop up now and then. Oil pressure seemed normal, though. Did you check your oil level when the light came on?
