Saxo Automatic Temperature Control Failure
Summary of the thread
The automatic temperature control in a 2001 Citroen Saxo has failed, causing the air conditioning to stop functioning and an error to be stored in the memory. A potential cause could be a faulty interior temperature sensor, possibly due to defective wiring or a plug connection. Checking the sensor's wiring and plug is suggested as a first step, with a sensor replacement being a relatively inexpensive solution if needed.

Wiring and plug, eh? Where exactly is that located? And how did you narrow it down to that? Sensor diagnostics is not my forte…

It's often a defective cable or plug connection to the HVAC sensor itself. If you're not comfortable poking around, a workshop visit might be wise. I've heard a sensor replacement can be cheap, I paid about 95€.

Thanks, I will definitely check those cable connections before giving up! And yeah, about 95€ is actually not too bad, if I can't fix it myself, I'll just have to get it done at a garage. I appreciate the help!

Sounds very familiar! I've got a Saxo too and had similar HVAC sensor issues a while back. Have you checked the sensor's wiring and plug? That's usually the culprit, but I understand it's frustrating.
