Saxo auxiliary heater issue

Hi, I have a Citroen Saxo, built in 2001 with a diesel engine and about 243544 km. My auxiliary heater doesn't work. It can't be activated, and there's an error stored. Could a defective glow plug be the cause?

I had the same problem on my Saxo. Does your climate control work correctly? Is there a coolant leak? Did you check the temperature sensor?

Thanks for the quick reply! The climate control seems fine and I don't see any coolant leaks. Where exactly is the temperature sensor located and how can I test it?

If the climate control and coolant levels are fine, and you're not comfortable testing electrical components, I would suggest having the error memory read and the glow plugs checked at a workshop. It could save you a lot of time and frustration.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was a defective glow plug for the auxiliary heater. Repair cost me 440€. Appreciate the help!
