Saxo Fuel Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having a headache with my 2002 Citroen Saxo, gasoline engine. The check engine light comes on, it idles rough and sometimes stalls, and it's jerking like crazy when I try to accelerate. I'm getting error codes pointing to the fuel pressure sensor. I had a quick look and the cable and plug look a bit dodgy. Anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my Saxo. Check engine light, rough idle, stalling... Was the cable or the plug connection really defective?

Yeah, the cable looks a bit frayed near the plug, and the plug itself looks like it's seen better days. Was that the culprit for you too?

Yes, indeed! Similar to mine. I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop though, especially if you are not used to work on electrical parts.

Cheers, that's really helpful! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the fuel pressure sensor connector was faulty. They replaced the connector and the light is now off. Total cost was 95€, so I am happy with it!
