Saxo Ignition Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Citroen Saxo diesel experienced intermittent starting issues and occasional engine cutouts. Initial suspicions included fuel problems or a faulty crankshaft sensor, but these were ruled out. Attention then shifted to the ignition switch, with suggestions to check the ignition switch connector and wiring for loose connections. Ultimately, a technician confirmed the ignition switch was faulty, and replacing it resolved the issue.

I checked the connector and wiring, but it's intermittent, so maybe I missed something. Any specific tests or voltage measurements to find the problem in the ignition circuit?

Given the age and symptoms, the ignition switch is likely the problem. A workshop will have equipment to check it properly.

Took it to a technician, and the ignition switch was faulty. 52€ total. Runs perfectly now. Thanks

Sounds like ignition. Have you checked the ignition switch connector and wiring? A loose connection could do that.
