Could you tell me where those connections are, or what signs of corrosion I should look for? I don't want to replace parts I don't need to.

The battery connections are easy to find. The starter solenoid is down on the starter motor itself, a little awkward to get to. The wiring harness runs along the chassis rail, that's where I found one corroded connection. If you're still struggling, get it to a workshop before you cause more damage. It could be an intermittent fault.

Following your advice, I took it to my workshop. There was a corroded wiring connection as you said! Repairing it, including diagnosis, cost 95€. The car is running smoothly again. Thanks for your help!

I had a similar problem with my Saxo. It drove me nuts! Check the battery terminal connections first – make sure they're clean and tight. After that, look at the starter solenoid wiring. It's a common spot for corrosion. Is the fuse box dry? That could cause shorts, which could lead to that error.
