Saxo knocking combustion

I'm experiencing knocking combustion in my 2000 Citroen Saxo gasoline model with 103587 km. Symptoms include reduced engine power, jerking during acceleration, and visible smoke upon acceleration. An error is also stored. Could this be deposits in the combustion chamber, potentially leading to pre-ignition?

I had similar issues with my Saxo. Did you check the ignition timing and knock sensor? Those could be contributing to the problem, or at least be part of the diagnostic process.

The symptoms were very similar. Frankly, I didn't delve too deep myself beyond the initial checks. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed the combustion chamber deposits. They recommended a cleaning service.
