Saxo Misfire Under Acceleration

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the fuel pump specifically, but wouldn't a fuel pump issue cause problems at all speeds, not just when accelerating? And if it was the ignition coil, wouldn't I expect a more consistent misfire, rather than just the jerking under acceleration? Could it still be the injectors even if it only happens under load?

Good point about the fuel pump being noticeable at all speeds. In my case, the symptoms were really similar and the check engine light was on and it ended up being a faulty injector. I tried a few things myself, but honestly, it was a pain to diagnose properly without the right tools. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the injector. Probably your best bet.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I really appreciate it. Based on what you've said, I'll probably take it to a workshop to get the injectors checked out. I was hoping it was something simple, but it sounds like it's best left to the professionals. The workshop confirmed that an injection valve was defective and had to be replaced. Including labor costs it was 515€. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Saxo. Rough running, check engine light... the whole shebang. Have you checked the fuel pump? It might not be delivering enough fuel, causing the misfires. Or, it could be the ignition coil. Though, you mentioning fuel injectors makes me wonder if that's the real culprit. Has it been particularly bad lately?
