Thanks for the quick response. I checked the wiring and connectors, but not the power to the motor. When you had the Opel issue, did you replace the sensor, or just fix the wiring?

Cleaning the connectors was only a temporary fix for me. The error kept returning. I replaced the sensor unit to avoid further issues. It's probably an electrical fault, which will cost time and money. I'd suggest a workshop before you make things worse.

I appreciate you sharing your Opel experience. You're probably right, a workshop is best. Just to let you know, the garage confirmed a defect in the cable to the tailgate sensor and diagnosed the sensor as faulty. Replacing the cable and sensor fixed it. Cost was 95€ Thank you for your help!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, but it was the bonnet sensor. Error code pointed to the sensor. I'd check the wiring and connectors leading to the hall sensor for corrosion, loose connections, or damage. Have you tried cleaning the sensor? Is the tailgate motor even getting power?
