Saxo Washer Fluid Warning

Alright, Saxo aficionados, I'm tearing my hair out here! My 2003 Citroen Saxo, gasoline engine, is throwing a tantrum. The damn washer fluid low warning keeps popping up, even though I filled the thing to the brim! And now, get this, the windshield washer system is completely kaput! Error code stored and spray jets are silent. Anyone else experienced this particular brand of Citroen craziness? I'm suspecting the wiper water level sensor, or something like that – any ideas before I set the whole thing on fire?

I have a Saxo as well and encountered a similar problem. Have you checked the hoses and connections? Sometimes they can become loose or cracked, leading to a loss of pressure.

Thanks for chiming in! Hoses and connections, eh? Good shout! But where exactly should I be looking? Any specific areas prone to failure? Because honestly, I'm more used to wielding a spanner on classic cars, this modern wizardry is doing my head in!

In my experience, it's best to take it to a workshop. They have diagnostic equipment that can pinpoint the fault quickly.

Took the Saxo to a local garage, as suggested. Turns out it WAS the low-level sensor in the washer bottle – corroded to hell apparently. New sensor, a quick scrub of the connections, and boom! Working wipers again. Cost me 25€ all in. Thanks for the help!
