SC brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Lexus SC owner experienced unusual feedback from the brake pedal, despite visually confirming that the pads, rotors, and fluid levels appeared normal. Suspecting an electrical issue affecting the ABS, the owner sought advice. Another person suggested checking the brake calipers, which led to the discovery of uneven pad wear due to faulty calipers. Replacing the calipers and pads resolved the issue.

I glanced at them, yeah, no obvious leaks or seized pistons, but I didn't do a super thorough inspection. What were the symptoms on yours when your calipers were acting up?

Feedback from the brake pedal and squeaky brakes. The workshop confirmed. You better check the calipers.

Okay, I appreciate the insight. I'll get the calipers checked out properly. Turns out it was indeed the calipers, causing uneven pad wear and the weird pedal feel. All sorted now, new calipers and pads, cost me about 240€ all in. Thanks!

I had something similar on my SC. Did you check the brake calipers?
