SC Gearbox Slipping

My 2004 Lexus SC with a gasoline engine has a gearbox issue at 121989 km; it slips and shifts uncleanly. Could this be related to transfer case oil wear or defective gears? Are there any known issues?

I had similar gear grinding in my old Saab after neglecting the gearbox oil changes. Maybe check for transfer case oil leakage first?

Yep, exact same symptoms. Turned out the oil was way past it. I'd get it checked by a workshop; they'll know better than I do.

I appreciate the confirmation. The diagnosis confirmed the issue, and the repair, including new oil, was 330€. All seems fine now.
