Scenic Blower Motor Failure

My 2005 Renault Scenic diesel's fresh air blower stopped. The motor doesn't spin, and the OBD reader shows a blower error. I've checked the fuses. Any ideas on troubleshooting, or is it likely the blower motor itself? The car has 244312 km.

I had a similar issue with my Scenic. Is the fan speed controller okay? Check that before replacing the blower motor. Did you check the voltage getting to the blower motor?

When you say fan speed controller, do you mean the resistor pack? How did you check the voltage getting to the blower motor? Did you use a multimeter directly at the connector?

Yes, I meant the resistor pack. I would recommend taking it to a workshop. My issue was indeed the blower motor itself. After replacement, everything worked as expected.

Thank you for confirming! I suspected as much. I'll take it to the workshop and get the blower motor replaced. They quoted me around 365€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Hopefully, that will solve the problem.
