Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold. How would I go about identifying such a leak? Is it something I can do myself, or is it best left to a professional? Where exactly is the manifold pressure sensor located?

Detecting a vacuum leak can sometimes be tricky without specialized equipment. A smoke test is the most reliable method, but that requires a machine. Visually inspect all hoses connected to the intake manifold for cracks or disconnections first. The manifold pressure sensor is usually mounted directly on the intake manifold. Given the symptoms and potential complexity, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. It's likely a large vacuum leak is causing the sensor to throw errors.

Alright, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local garage, and they confirmed it was a faulty manifold pressure sensor due to a large vacuum leakage. The total repair cost came to 235€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar problem with my Renault Scenic. Those symptoms – check engine light, power loss, poor response – all point towards a potential vacuum leak affecting the manifold pressure sensor. Has anyone checked the intake manifold for leaks?
