Ah, Peugeot, eh? Was it definitely the key battery in the end then?

Yeah, it was. I tried a new battery myself, but it still didn't work. Ended up taking it to a workshop and they sorted it. Probably best to get yours checked professionally.

You were spot on. A new battery in the key fob fixed everything. Cost me 37€ for the battery and fitting at the shop, but at least it's sorted!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Peugeot 307. Keyless go stopped working and I got a warning light.
