Scenic Limp Mode ABS Fault

My 2003 Renault Scenic diesel is stuck in transfer case limp mode at 111717 km. The gearbox is slipping and shifts are not smooth. I suspect it's the ABS, given the fault codes. I'm hoping to avoid replacing the gear selector or torque converter. Has anyone experienced this traction control issue?

Summary of the thread

A 2003 Renault Scenic diesel was experiencing limp mode and gearbox slippage, suspected to be related to an ABS fault. The issue was resolved by cleaning the ABS sensor connectors with electrical contact cleaner, which cleared the fault codes and restored normal vehicle operation.

I had similar symptoms on my Scenic. Have you checked the control module?

You had the same limp mode and slippage? Was it ABS related? I'm trying to figure out if that control module could be the problem.

Yes, similar symptoms. I visited a workshop for a diagnosis and solution.

Thanks! I fixed it with electrical contact cleaner and cleaning the ABS sensor connectors after seeing all those fault codes. I can't believe it was so simple, but I'm back on the road!
