Scenic radar sensor failure
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Renault Scenic experienced a radar sensor failure, leading to multiple system errors and a warning light. The problem affected the adaptive cruise control and potentially the emergency braking system. Initially suspected to be dirt-related, the issue was resolved by cleaning and recalibrating the sensor at a workshop, restoring full functionality.

Yeah, the adaptive cruise is totally dead, and I suspect the emergency braking isn't working either, though I haven't tested it! Where exactly is the radar sensor, and is it easy to clean?

Okay, so it sounds like the exact same problem I had. The sensor is usually behind the front bumper, either in the middle or on one side. Cleaning might help, but honestly, in my case, I had to go to a workshop. They diagnosed the problem and recalibrated the sensor. I strongly suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were spot on. It was the radar sensor. They cleaned it and recalibrated everything for 45€, and now it's working perfectly! Cheers!

I had a similar issue with my Scenic. Is your adaptive cruise control not working too? Because that's what happened to me. The radar sensor is used for a variety of safety systems, including automatic emergency braking. Have you tried cleaning the sensor itself? Where is the sensor placed on your vehicle? If the sensor is actually faulty, it might need recalibration after replacement.
