Summary of the thread
A 2015 Fiat Scudo diesel is experiencing starting difficulties and reduced engine power, with a diagnostic scan indicating a camshaft sensor error. Could you give me more details about the issues you had? Were the symptoms the same, and did the diagnostic scan also point to the camshaft sensor? Was the fault in the cable or plug connection, or was the sensor itself defective?

Yes, same symptoms. Error code pointed to the camshaft sensor. I didn't bother troubleshooting too much and took it to a workshop.

Based on your recommendation and the error code, I took it to the workshop. The cable connection to the camshaft sensor was defective, as I suspected. The repair was 95€ including parts and labor. Thanks for your help; your input was invaluable in resolving this.

I had a similar problem with my Scudo. Rough idling and timing issues. Check the sensor connections first.
