Scudo Fault Memory Lock

My 2022 Fiat Scudo diesel with 115538 km is showing 'fault memory lock active' with an error stored in memory. Could undervoltage be the cause?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Fiat Scudo diesel is displaying a 'fault memory lock active' message, potentially caused by an error stored in memory. One possible cause could be an undervoltage issue affecting the control unit. Checking the battery and alternator is suggested as a first step to diagnose the problem. If the issue persists, taking the vehicle to a workshop for professional diagnosis and unlocking of the control unit is recommended.

I had a similar issue with my Scudo. Fault codes kept popping up and wouldn't clear. Did you check the battery and alternator? Could be a voltage issue messing with the control unit.

Thanks. I haven't checked the battery and alternator yet. Did you have the 'fault memory lock active' message as well?

Yes, that's exactly what I had. It locked me out of clearing the codes myself. Ultimately, I had to take it to a workshop to get the control unit unlocked and the underlying electrical issue sorted. Cost me a pretty penny.

Thanks for the confirmation. I will take it to the workshop as well. The repair cost was 240€. Hopefully, that will resolve the problem.
