Hey, thanks for your quick reply! Seems like we had pretty similar issues with our cars. Can you remember the repair costs you had to incur for your exhaust manifold and DPF problem? Has anything else come up since then or is your Seat Leon now running without any further problems? I'd be really interested to know, as I'm hoping that once my problems have been fixed, things will be quiet.

Hey, sure, I can give you some information! The repair costs were a bit of a shock, I had to pay €575 to repair the faulty control unit. But since my visit to the mechanic, who also fixed the glow plug malfunction, my Seat Leon has been running smoothly again. No more problems, the glow plug no longer ticks and the engine feels really good again. I hope your Seat Arona looks the same once the faults have been rectified. Fingers crossed!

Wow, €575 is a lot of money, but the main thing is that the car runs smoothly again. Good to hear that your Seat Leon is now running smoothly. That gives me some hope for my Seat Arona. I really hope that the mechanic can fix my problem successfully and that there are no more surprises waiting for me. Thanks again for your help! Keep your fingers crossed!

Hey, I can totally understand you! The last time I had my 2020 Seat Leon in the workshop, the symptoms were pretty similar. Check Engine light, black smoke and a perpetual cold start. Turned out to be a serious exhaust manifold and DPF issue that was also affecting the glow plugs. But once that was fixed, it ran like clockwork again. Hope this helps you in some way. All the best!
