Seat Alhambra air suspension malfunction

I seek your expertise in diagnosing a malfunction within the air suspension system of my 2002 Seat Alhambra, equipped with a diesel engine. The vehicle exhibits an inability to elevate, coupled with a discernible lean. Diagnostic protocols have revealed an error stored within the error memory, accompanied by an error message displayed in the speedometer. Additional manifestations include a misalignment of the low beam headlights and the illumination of a warning light in the speedometer. Preliminary assessments suggest a potential defect within the cable or plug connection of the implicated component. Any guidance you may provide would be greatly appreciated.

I recall encountering a similar issue with the air suspension on my Alhambra. Have you inspected the ride height sensors and their connections? A malfunctioning sensor could potentially trigger such symptoms. Also, it might be worthwhile to check for any apparent air leaks within the suspension system itself. Has the load leveling been verified?

Regarding the ride height sensors, can you elaborate on their specific location and the method for effectively testing their functionality? Furthermore, are there any particular areas within the suspension system that are especially prone to air leaks?

The ride height sensors are typically located near each wheel. Visually inspect them for damage and check the wiring. Unfortunately, pinpointing air leaks can be tricky. A workshop will likely use a smoke machine or soapy water to locate them. Given the error message and leaning, and since you suspect a wiring issue, it might be best to have the complete suspension system and suspension components checked by a professional. This could save time and prevent further complications.

Appreciate your insights. Following your advice, I inspected the cable and plug connections as suggested. Indeed, a defective plug connection was identified as the culprit. Subsequent repair costs totaled 95€.
