Seat Alhambra Central Locking Problem

Hey, I'm having a really annoying problem with my 2021 Seat Alhambra (gasoline engine). The central locking has completely stopped working. I've got 173562 km on the clock. None of the door locks are responding, and I can't lock or unlock the car with the key fob. The error memory shows a fault related to the central locking system. Any ideas what could be causing this? I suspect it might be a cable or plug issue.

I had a similar issue with my Alhambra. Have you checked the car locks fuse? Sometimes a blown fuse can cause the central locking to fail. Also, does the key fob work at all, or is it completely unresponsive? If the car alarm is also affected, it could point to a more general electrical problem.

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly is the fuse located? And yes, the key fob is completely unresponsive. The car alarm doesn't seem to be affected, though. Any other ideas if it's not the fuse?

The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. If the key fob isn't working and the fuse is fine, and given the error code you mentioned, it does sound like a wiring or connector issue. In my case, it was a corroded connector in the door. Honestly, electrical gremlins can be a pain to track down. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They'll have the right tools to pinpoint the problem.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection, just like you suspected. They replaced it, and the central locking is working perfectly again. Cost me 95€, which is a relief. Appreciate the help!
