Sounds like a rich mixture issue. Does it have any trouble starting? Have you ever cleaned the intake manifold?

Starting is a bit harder than before, yes. And no, I have never cleaned the intake manifold. Could that really cause this kind of problem, and would that also affect the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor?

Hard starting points to the same thing. Cleaning the intake might help a bit, but if it's a bad injector, it's a bad injector. Save yourself the headache, get it checked by a workshop.

Turns out it was a defective fuel injector. Replaced all four, and the engine is running smoothly now. The cost was 515€. Thanks for the input.
